Greetings from sunny Tucson , AZ where 90 F (40ish C) is considered brisk and people give away wolves on Craigslist.
I'm out here for the next two years getting my Masters in Deaf Ed. at the U of A for the low price of free now that my season with EF has ended. It's funny that I moved so far from NYC just when I was being to feel like more of a New Yorker than I ever have (I watched the entire Tonys this year) but I'd be a fool to ignore an offer of free tuition and free room and board. Plus, I heard its getting kinda expensive for someone like me to live in the city nowadays.
So, its Too-son not Tuck-son and the best time to visit is in the fall right after "monsoon season" (for real) when the mercury finally dips. Oh, and for those of you keeping score at home this will be my fourth residence and third city that I've lived in this year.

looking at fares: around $350 r/t from New York, $450 from Boston. why the extra? we're classy.
JetBlue just started offering flights from Tucson to NYC direct! They're calling it "the shut eye". Ha.
It's big news here, even made the front page of the newspaper.
