Look, I'm just as bummed about the S-K break up as my fellow Indie cohorts but I'm really all set with the "there will never be another female rock group again so lets just all put on our 'Show me Your Riffs' shirts and slit our wrists now" articles that I've been seeing all over the 'net. Does the breakup of S-K "signif[y] the end of an era when women made a loud and unapologetic noise -- onstage and in society," as Salon suggests? Are they "the best American punk rock band ever" or is Rolling Stone just desperately wanting to win the affection of the cool kids by declaring that?
And shit, is it really that bad that the '90s are over? I don't think so.
